Like its predecessors in the Babolat line, the Babolat Pure Storm Tour racket is tailored for better control and performance on the game. Like many other Babolat rackets, this one is also lightweight but unlike the others, it provides surprising amount of maneuverability.

What’s so special about it?
If you an experienced player, looking for more weight and heft in your racket, then you’ve come to the right product. The Babolat Pure Storm Tour is fitted with new technologies that maintains, if not increases, its solidity as well as maneuverability. Needless to say, you’d have greater control and better ease while passing away those powerful shots.
How do the technologies help?
Two technologies are responsible for the greatness of this racket: the Woofer and Carbon Xtrem. The Woofer technology offers a larger sweetspot to bring in more accuracy in the shots by providing a versatile stringbed that functions as a suspension system and can therefore absorb major part of the shocks. That means you’d be able to increase the accuracy of every shot, with less risk of injury to you arm.
To complete it, the Carbon Xtrem substituted Zylon Matrix technology that was used on some of the previous Pure Storm rackets. It comprises of specially braided graphite utilized around the racquet head. The result was steadier frames and hence greater stability and control. It is because of this that players will be able to generate some nice weight and pace of shot.
The Babolat Pure Storm Tour is an excellent addition to the Pure Storm Team. It certainly did not disappoint the majority of the users who have tested or used it.
Recommended for 4.5+ level players, or strong intermediate to advanced players.

How would you like to play using the same rackets that major players on the tour like Carlos Moya and Kim Clijsters are using? You can be sure that these players would certainly be playing with the best equipments available in market and that is what they found in the Babolat’s New Pure Drive.

While there are no changes to the previous specifications (that is, it is still lightweight and powerful), this Babolat’s New Pure Drive is packed with Cortex to filter out vibrations. It does a good job in absorbing the shocks and enhancing the feel by cancelling the highest vibrations. So now you can feel greater comfort while playing and at the same time, avoid those harmful vibrations that could potentially hurt you. The existing Woofer technology also protects you by using the string bed to act as pistons, while creating a large sweetspot.
Unfortunately, there is a flaw to this near-perfect racket – it has a delicate frame. The racket frame is quite easily susceptible to damages, even if it’s due to off-centered shots. Scratches also appear easily. Several users have complained of such similar defects in their rackets. My only advice against this would to take really good care of the racket, and avoid off-centered shots.
Players of all standards will find comfort in this improved Babolat’s New Pure Drive racket; plus it sports attractive and new looks! However, it should be noted that it is designed as a medium-weight racquet with more hitting area to maintain some advanced playability in order to better suit intermediate to advanced players.

Any tennis player would know that a bigger head size would lend more power and control to the play. Beginners would usually use oversize head rackets to help with the game. This is why the Babolat Drive Z 118, with Super Oversize head of 118 sq. inches (hence the name), would the most suitable racket for any beginner.

What’s the advantage?
Aside from its Super Oversize head, the Babolat Drive Z 118 also comes with the Smartgrip technology, an ergonomic grip that fits your hand perfectly for a more natural grip. What this really means, is that you can hit with more power using less effort and there would be less grip rotation when you hit the ball.
It’s frustrating to play tennis when the weight of the racket alone burdens you. The Babolat Drive Z 118 is a lightweight racket that was infused with Zylon Matrix technology, created not only for better performance but for greater comfort as well. If that is not enough, the racket also features the Cortex System to filter out high vibration frequencies.
What about the disadvantages?
There doesn’t seem to be any. The Babolat Drive Z 118 did not get to the top of the line in Babolat’s long list of quality rackets for nothing.
As one user puts it,
“It has a unique feel. I get really good accuracy with it. It is predictable and effortless to play with. The racquet is a little dead in the upper hoop, but elsewhere I get a good feel and response. And unlike other oversize racquets the power is more evenly distributed throughout the string bed. I don’t notice hot spots. The smart grip is really comfortable for me. If you are looking for an effortless, predictable and accurate oversize racquet, you may want to try this one. I was surprised all around with it and purchased 2 of them.”

The Babolat AeroPro Drive is strictly for professionals only. At least, for advanced players. Editors at Tennis Magazine commented that it is “jarring if you miss the sweet spot”. But as mentioned earlier, this isn’t a racket designed for players who would miss the sweet spot. This well-crafted frame is weighed 11.3-ounce, with head size of 100 square inches and 27 inches in length.

Positive points:
The Babolat AeroPro Drive is made using 3 very helpful technologies: the Woofer, Cortex and AeroModular technology. The Woofer technology uses the string bed as pistons, which absorbs most of the shocks. At the same time, the Cortex technology also functions to filter out vibrations – it enhances the feel by cancelling the highest vibrations to create better comfort.
It also helps to lessen the harshness if you miss the sweet spot. Meanwhile the AeroModular technology forms the frame for specific profiling at certain points just create greater power. The frame also sports a flat, aerodynamic look to aid in speed generation.
Together, the Babolat AeroPro Drive simply packs a mean punch. On top of that, this is also the same racket used and endorsed by Spain’s ATP Tour player, Rafael Nadal.
Negative Points:
There isn’t much, but some commented that the racket is “not particularly great” for serves. The Babolat AeroPro Drive might also turn out to be “too much of a spin” for some people.
Again, Babolat Aeropro Drive Tennis Racket is designed for advanced players who would prefer the additional power and control along with the comfort in their play.
